Flushers are used to smoothly apply drywall joint compound to the corner between drywall sheets. Most commonly, flushers are made of metal and multiple parts, making them expensive and heavy.
The DIY Flusher, as the name suggests, is designed for the Do-It-Yourselfer. Traditionally, flushers are tools that a contractor would purchase at an elevated price as a professional tool. The DIYer would normally use a trowel or a putty knife, which can take a lot of time and effort to make a good looking joint. The DIY Flusher is more affordable and allows the user to make a great corner without extensive sanding.
The DIY Flusher is sold with a handle with a 15/16” diameter ball that fits into the socket. The handle can receive a conventional broom stick. The hole in the socket allows an applicator tube to be used to inject drywall joint compound into the corner while the flusher, with its feathered trailing edge, spreads it evenly on the wall.
